A Date Night In Salida, Colorado

Small-town America strikes again with in beautiful Salida in the mountains of Colorado. We started out our evening with Currents, a land and sea restaurant in the downtown district. Jonathan had the half order of fish and chips and I ate the creamy chicken pot pie. Both were absolutely delicious. With a full bar, a wide variety of beer on tap, and an amazing staff, you can’t go wrong with dinner at Currents.

After dinner we took a walk by the Arkansas River. The small park located in the historic district has a well manicured lawn and picnic tables as well as a small river walk where you can see fish swimming just below the bridge and next to the Boathouse Restaurant that overlooks the river.

After our river walk, we wound our way up to the Biker and the Baker Restaurant for dessert. Y’all, this place is ridiculously amazing! We tried one of the specialty desserts, a raspberry tart. They have suggested wine pairings, which we of course agreed to, and couldn’t be happier with the presentation and the taste of everything.
