A Date Night in Santa Fe, New Mexico

Writer's picture: Kelly MillerKelly Miller

We started our evening at Santa Fe Brewing Company. We love a good IPA and for just $8 we got a flight of 5 beers. We particularly enjoyed 7k and took home a 12 pack.

Happy hour is from 4-6 with $4 drafts. There is also a food truck Tuesday- Saturdays and on Saturdays at noon, if the brew master is available, he can give you a tour of the facility with a free beer.

From there, we made our way downtown to The Shed. We parked out back and made our way through a beautiful courtyard to the entrance of the restaurant.

We highly recommend that you get a reservation ahead of time. We did not have a reservation and there was a 2 1/2 hour wait for a regular table on a Monday night. We made our way to the bar and put our name on the list and ordered a couple of drinks. The margarita was amazing and made exactly to my liking. The wait for a seat at the bar was about an hour. There is a nice first come first serve seating area while you wait.

Once at the bar Jonathan ordered the Pollo Avado with red chili sauce, a blue corn enchilada and beans. The chicken was slightly spicy and ridiculously tender and delicious.

Kelly asked the bartender to order whatever is best and ended up with the ground beef blue taco plate with rice and beans. All amazing.

We highly recommend both the Santa Fe Brewing Company as well as The Shed.
