Installing An RV Pep Wave Antenna To Improve WiFi Reception

I had a customer who wanting to have a pep wave antenna installed but also wanted to have the option to upgrade to a different system in the future if necessary.


I installed a weathertight junction box in between ceiling rafters, directly over the interior cabinet where the customer had mounted his pep wave.



I caulked the roof penetration around the conduit and secured the box to the roof material with double sided butyl tape, and screws.


I then covered the mounting screws with lap sealant and filled the box half full with pest block spray foam for extra protection against insects and the elements.



The customer finished the interior pass through hole with a single gang flexible brush wall plate screwed directly to the inside panel of the cabinet.
