Where We Saw Wildlife in Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks

There is a vast amount of wildlife in the Yeallowstone and Teton areas. Here is where we had our wildlife enounters:


Tetons-

*Moose Ponds Trail- we saw antelope in the field near the trailhead. We saw Moose down at the ponds

*Hidden Falls Trail- we saw moose in the woods on our left as we walked back down to the shuttle boat.

*River next to the shuttle boat atJenny Lake we saw otters playing with each other.

*Bridger-Teton- saw many herds of pronghorn in the early morning hours



In between-

*Grassy Lake road off Headwaters Campground we saw a huge beaver at Glade Creek.


Yellowstone-

*Everywhere- we saw Bison. They love the thermal areas. We also saw herds in almost every field near water.

*West Thumb- we saw Elk in the evenings

*Mammoth Springs- we saw Elk and Bison in the evening

*Tower Junction to Slough Creek Road- we saw herds of Bison and antelope

*Pelican- We saw Elk




Bearthooth Highway-

*At the top- We saw mountain goat, marmots and chinchilla
