Carlasbad Caverns National Park

We visited Carlsbad Caverns in February, unaware that at this time of year the bats have flown south for the winter. Kelly was ok with missing out on the evening bat flight because - yikes- bats!!

We highly recommend the natural entrance version of the self guided cave tour. You start out at the amphitheater and walk down 82 stories into the big room by foot. This allows you to experience the magnitude of depth of the cave.
