Spence Hot Springs

The Spence Hot Springs are an amazing stop outside of Santa Fe, New Mexico. Keep your eye out for the turn off as it is not marked and it’s just a small parking lot. We particularly loved these Hot Springs because they are in the middle of the national forest and are not monetized (FREE!!). A short but strenuous hike will take you across a creek and up to the Hot Springs area where you can soak in an upper or lower pool.

Don't miss the chance to add to your experience and climb back into the spring source at the upper pool. There’s a small opening into the chamber where the water bubbles up out of the ground.

We went in the winter at the beginning of March and it was very magical to enjoy the warm Hot Springs with snow on the ground around us.
