Galveston and Dellanera RV Park

Galveston, TX is a beautiful port city located outside of Houston. This beachfront city is a summer playground for Texans and a winter getaway for snowbirds and vacationers. We visited in early January and found the temperatures to be moderate. We wore shorts on some days and long pants on others. We did find it windy at times as well.

Dellanera RV Park is an amazing City of Galveston Park situated right on the beach. This city run RV park has full hookups and free Wi-Fi. There is a row of RV spots that back up to the beach and everyone in the RV park has direct access to the beach via a boardwalk.

We highly recommend a visit to the Galveston Historic Seaport. We toured the 1877 Tall Ship Elissa and then did a boat trip around the harbor where we learned about the local industry. Be sure to take a walk around the Strand District and enjoy the many shops and restaurants. We also did a tour of the Galveston Railroad Museum, a NARM Museum (North American Reciprocal Museums). A NARM membership includes access to over 1000 museums nationwide.
