Great Falls to Ennis Day Drive

Moving day is many times a chance for me to sit back and relax while Jonathan takes on the work of driving us from point A to point B. This week I was fully engaged with my surroundings as we made our way from Great Falls, MT 192 miles and 3 hours south to Ennis.

The stretch of road on Highway 15 between Great Falls and Helena is nothing short of stunning. We highly recommend that you drive as much of Recreation Road as you can between Hardy and Wolf Creek.

In Boulder, MT we jumped on Highway 69 South to Cardwell where we got on Montana Highway 2 towards Lewis and Clarks Caverns State Park. This stretch of scenic byway runs along the Jefferson River. At the end of Highway 2 we got on 287 South towards Ennis.

As we drove down 287 we were rewarded with epic Montana views as we entered Big Sky Country.
