Headwaters Campground

Headwaters Campground is a beautiful recreation.gov campground situated in Western Wyoming between Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park. We booked our site way in advance and on check in, the attendant commented that it is rare to get 13 days in the same site. When we booked, I felt that being situated right between the parks would be a great advantage because we wouldn't have to move camp sites and we would get access to both parks. I was right, however, the size of Yellowstone alone gave us many long hours of driving.

My best advice for someone wanting to camp in the area would be to get a site down inside of Grand Tetons and a separate site up in the middle of Yellowstone.

Although Headwaters Campground was an amazing camground, and with ful hookups, our time and money would have been better spent being more centrally located in each of the parks.
