Fred Gannon Rocky Bayou State Park

Fred Gannon Rocky Bayou State Park was a wonderfully warm stopover for us on our way to spend the winter in Texas. Located right outside the Emerald Coast, we were able to drive just 30 minutes and be right on Ft. Walton and Destin Beach. The campsites in this park are huge. I would describe them as double sites since you could easily get 2 large campers in at each individual site. There are 3 main walking trails along the Rocky Bayou, Puddin Head Stream and among the trees. There is also an opportunity to rent kayaks or bring your own and enjoy the views from the bayou inlet. We would highly recommend a stay at Fred Gannon Rocky Bayou State Park.
